dc.description.abstract<p>Unemployment is at an all-time high and many people are looking for work. Competition for the right job is a challenge and there are specific hurdles faced by job seekers who are deaf or hard of hearing. Unfortunately, many employers know little about hearing loss. This article provides important interviewing ideas for those who are deaf or hard of hearing, with a focus on how the rehabilitation profession can help the job seeker discuss their regarding hearing loss during the job interview thus empowering the deaf or hard of hearing applicant to embrace the elephant in the room.</p>
