    Abstract
Abstract: This thesis contains the opening chapters of the novel A True Irish-American. A True Irish-American is a fictional story of the Irish immigration to the United States from the 1920's-1970's. Using fictional characters, the story describes the hardships and struggles faced by the Irish in America. The main characters, John and Ryan O'Reilly, will be faced with conflicts between each other and obstacles of the time they live in.
