Abstract
This is a collection of excerpts from my future memoirs. The tales enclosed retell some of my experiences during my stay in Cairo, Egypt from 1996-2001. The four stories that make up this thesis are a look at some of the cultural schisms one is exposed to in a foreign land. These tales will one day become a part of my memoirs as I retell my childhood experiences living in Suriname, Costa Rica, Russia, and Egypt.
