This project includes the first five sections of a long-form journalism piece on the subject of America's fastest growing demographic—the Blended Family. More than half of U.S. children will live in the so-called Blended Family before reaching age 18 and yet this phenomenon is rarely or accurately represented in our culture. By 2010, more than 130 million Americans will be part of a blended family—more aptly called The Shattered Nuclear Family.
