<p><em>Encontra</em> is a fantasy romance novel of about 61,000 words. The story centers around Kyra and her four friends as they discover that they are the focus of a legend from a forgotten civilization. As she and her friends try to master their new-found powers and accept their new roles, Kyra must also decide if the man claiming to be in love with her, Aidan, is her ally or her foe. The novel is written in third person and transitions between Aidan and Kyra’s perspectives, exploring different views on war and love. The story questions can love last over lifetimes and if we must be who destiny wants us to be. Kyra must embrace this unexpected power and her place in this society or it may end up destroying her.</p>
