Abstract
This project represents a lesson plan unit for a third grade classroom based upon on how to write a short story. The lesson plans include the brainstorming process, discussions, graphic organizers, the importance of peer review and editing, and general syntax. The lesson plans are done in a way that will create enthusiasm in each student and will entice her to want to continue the process and enjoy it. The beginning essay reflects the author's teaching pedagogy and how she believes a good classroom works.
